  • Foundations of climate science: anthropogenic nature of climate change, greenhouse effect, greenhouse gases, sources of emissions.

  • Climate risks and their importance for business. Physical and transition risks.

  • Key drivers of corporate climate action: regulations, pressure from investors, clients and civil society.

  • Business case for climate action. Cost savings, new revenue streams, transparency and trust.

  • Paris agreement and global climate goals, Net Zero scenarios, climate pledges by businesses and national governments, Science Based Targets Initiative.

  • Effective climate solutions and their role in global decarbonization.
